WATER METER REPLACEMENT
SCOPE OF WORK:

The Town of Elk Park (also referred to herein as ‘Town of Elk Park’) is soliciting sealed qualifications to REPLACE DAMAGED WATER METERS.
Firms or companies desiring to provide services, as described in the Scope of Work, shall submit sealed proposals clearly marked “RFQ-2025-WATERMETERS” with an original, and three (3) complete copies, no later than, on *OCTOBER 20TH, 2025 TIME: 4:00 PM EST*, to: Town of Elk Park 169 Winters Street (BOX 248) Elk Park, NC 28622 Offers by telephone or email shall not be accepted. Also, applicants are instructed NOT to fax their proposal. Faxed proposals shall be rejected as nonresponsive regardless of where the fax is received.

METER REPLACEMENT​​​ SCOPE:
​
TOWN OF ELK PARK is requesting quotes from qualified contractors for the procurement and installation of 157 new water meters and setters. This project involves the removal of existing water meters and setters, proper disposal of obsolete components, and full installation of the new units in accordance with town specifications and industry standards.
Scope of Work Includes:

Replacing 157 water meters and compatible setters

On-site installation at residential and/or commercial properties

Testing and ensuring proper operation of each installed meter

Coordination with Town staff for access and scheduling

Compliance with all applicable codes and standards
Requirements:

Licensed and insured contractor or certified installer

Experience with water meter replacement projects of similar size

Ability to complete the project within reasonable time period.

Elk River Waterline Replacement
1. Purpose
The Town of Elk Park is soliciting quotes from qualified and licensed contractors to furnish all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to remove and replace damaged sections of the Elk River Water Line. The goal is to restore the line to its pre-disaster design, function, and capacity within the existing footprint.
2. Scope of Work
Work under this contract shall include, but is not limited to:

Removal and proper disposal of damaged PVC water line segments.

Installation of new PVC pipe matching existing size and specifications.

Reconnection to the existing water distribution system.
-
Testing and verification to ensure proper function and system integrity.

Backfilling and full site restoration in accordance with applicable codes and standards.

Coordination with the Town for inspection prior to backfill.
